Bearslake Inn

Set in a charming Devon longhouse dating back to the 13th century, this inn is located between Dartmoor’s Okehampton and Tavistock in the hamlet of Lake. Bearslake Inn offers 6 en-suite rooms and parking. The A30 is around 2 miles from the property. The Sourton Tor, Corn Ridge, and Great Links Tor are all just a short walk away with the Granite Way cycle path running directly behind the pub. All rooms offer tea and coffee-making facilities with fresh Taw Valley milk (available from the bar), luxury toiletries, digital TV, and free WiFi. Each has an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer and ironing facilities are available. Out of the 6 rooms, 4 of them are pet-friendly. The property offers a breakfast hamper, available 7 days a week for an additional fee. It features many options of homemade, sweet, and savory goodies, Devon yogurts and cereals, fresh fruits, local fruit juices, Devon blended tea, roasted coffee, smoked salmon, or a bottle of chilled bubbly. A Grab and Go breakfast including a takeaway coffee or tea of your choice and a croissant per person is also available During our summer opening hours (1 April to 30 September 2024) we serve meals 7 days a week and specialize in West country-style meals with locally sourced produce. During our Winter hours (1 October to 31 March 2024) we serve food between Weds and Sunday. The property’s Snug Bar serves locally produced real ales. Guests can also relax in the spacious garden with views of the moor across open farmland.
